On August 7, Galerie Calabro in Zurich opened the installation "Theatre of the Avant-garde".
The Ukrainian avant-garde came to life in the city known as the birthplace of Dadaism, revealing little-known pages of art history. For Swiss audience the exhibition offers a new perspective — Ukraine’s important contribution to avant-garde art movement, long hidden by Soviet censorship. The opening was attended by Samvel Arustamian, Counsellor of the Embassy of Ukraine in Switzerland, who said:
“We are giving back to the world the real names of Ukrainian artists whose work influenced the world — and we are doing it here, in the heart of Europe, so that no one can erase the Ukrainian trace from art history again.”

Curators Anastasiia Biletska and Yuliia Virts present the new wallpaper collection "Archive Fabrics & Wallpapers" (2025), created by Ukrainian designer Yevhen Litvinenko collaboration with the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater in Kyiv. This collection is inspired by archival sketches of famous Ukrainian artists — Kazymyr Malevych, Olexandra Exter, Sonia Delaunay, Vasyl Krychevsky, Heorhiy Narbut, Borys Kosarev, Oleksandr Sayenko, Serhiy Kolos — from the golden age of the 1920s avant-garde and modernism. Reimagined as modern prints, they capture the spirit of innovation, bold geometry, and bright colors that shaped the art of the era.
